Something Quilty

A post with quilty stuff and quilts--it's about time! I have received two gifts from two special people. The first came right before I left to go on retreat and I totally forgot to post a picture.

Connie W from Cootie Bug 2 held a PIF several months ago and I entered and here is her gift. Isn't it adorable?

AND Patricia who has been reading my blog since it's beginning sent me these wonderful strings and crumbs. The colors are so pretty. I have one of those fabrics, Patricia. The blue with the dark. And check out the one that says Welcome to Grandma's that I positioned in the middle.

And I promised quilts! Here is the Time Travel quilt. All it needs is quilting. Yay!

And here is the latest. I found this fabric and used it to demo 4 Patch Stacked Posies earlier in the summer. I saw Geta's quilt and used her tutorial. I need a name folks. I'm thinking Floating Flowers at Midnight or something. I need help.

Pay It Forward

I have had interest in the Pay It Forward I posted back earlier in the year. I received the P.I.F. gift from Connie of Cootie Blog 2 and will post a picture. The first three to leave a comment will be included in the P.I.F.; so please leave a comment. Check out the original post at http://cateringquilter.blogspot.com/2009/02/pay-it-forward.html .

Next post will include pictures. I promise.

Pay It Forward

Hello everyone! I tried this on one post several weeks ago and I didn't get any takers. Probably my fault--I posted on a Monday and probably everyone was too busy to care about a PIF right then. Well, here goes. I signed up at Connie W's Cootie Bug 2 blog for a PIF and have agreed to pass it on. Here's how it works (I have copy/paste the info below):

"It’s based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness pass it on. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on the blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."

So there it is! I will make a handmade gift and send to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post requesting to join this PIF exchange. I promise. I don't know yet what it might be --probably won't be anything big but it will be handmade just for you. Please if you don't have a blog leave me an email address so I can get in touch with you.

Blessings,
