Update on Jim

Jim made it through the night. He is responive to Dixie. He squeezed her hand. They were able to stabilize his blood pressure. The doctors aren't giving him much hope. BUT we know God is able. Keep praying.

Thanks,

Featured Blog

The Featured Blog in the sidebar is one I read about at Patchwork Times. She is funny. Enjoy. Also in the Tutorials in the sidebar is a new addtion -- Quilt As You Go Row by Row Quilt. A very quick quilt for a charity.

We got MORE rain over the weekend. Yay! So nice.

Blessings,

It's Finished to Quilt top stage

I got the blocks sewn together a week or so ago and then Saturday at Paradise Piecemakers I got the borders cut and sewn on. This one will be tied or quilted and donated to C.A.S.A. in our area for a child they have been assigned.

And another for C.A.S.A. I pieced these blocks a year or two ago and they got put away. I got the backing pieced, too. Yay. If you're interested in the block pattern--I think I found it at allabout.com. I think. When I have some time I will look back and check on that. I looked and found it. Look here. I didn't have enough of the stripe fabric to follow the pattern exactly.

And may I introduce our new residents. Aren't they pretty? One boy and three girls. Yes, Donna, he is still a boy. Don't know how long.

What our grass looks like after all the rain we've had. God is so good.

Happy Memorial Day

How is everyone? Enjoying the beautiful weather I hope? I've been in the garden. Just checking on things. I had to replant cucumbers, green beans, and some of the squash. We received a big box of seeds several years ago from one of DH's co-workers. His wife had bought a seed display that was for sale at a garage type sale. He planted with it for two seasons and got frustrated the third season and gave the boxful of seeds to us. They are dated 2004. Sometimes some of the packets just don't work. So I plant extras. Then when they do come up sometimes there is an abundance. I can thin out really easy. I will try to remember to take my camera to the garden and show you the baby plants.

We went to San Angelo/Ballinger this past weekend. It was a very nice visit.

I go to Paradise Piecemakers tomorrow. I've got to decide what I'm going to work on and get it loaded.

Blessings and happy quilting,

Down Under Quilts

A six months free online subscription to Down Under Quilts can be found here. Thanks, Mary, for the heads up. I can't wait to see what quilts there are.

I bought the peppers plants and got them planted right before sundown along with some marigolds around the squash. We've had some strong south winds and it's not doing the newly planted tomatoes very good.
