Here is Block #6. I must have sewn and ripped out the center pinwheel about four times before I got it acceptable. Just me--there are days like that. All together it wasn't a hard block at all. I started to change the fabrics but decided to leave it as per pattern instructions. I may remake later. The colors make me think of chocolate covered cherries.
Blessings,
You are so right, chocolate covered cherries is a good name for that pretty block. I looked at the photo first before I read what you had written. I looked, wondering how long it took for you to make it. It is much more complex than the star blocks I've made (2 so far)and I'm so slow in sewing them - I almost feel like I'm moving in slow motion! I think I wouldn't want to make a whole quilt out of them. Maybe my speed will improve. I know I have one big mess on my tables, but I don't know how to get around that.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at what you do, but I know you have lots more experience than I do. I've about decided though that there is no perfect quilt. I had to "unsew" two seams tonight, and I really thought I laid the pieces together right, but guess what, I didn't (frown).
Take care . . .
yes your block reminds me of my favorite cordial cherry chocolates...looks great...
ReplyDeleteYour block looks great! I like the red and brown together also. Thanks for your nice comments on my blog. It's fun to see what everyone is doing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment in my blog. I like your block very much, nice colours. It's so exciting to participate in the Starbom. It's my first time.

WHAT PERFECT FABRICS!!!!
ReplyDeletethat definitely reminds me of chocolate covered cherries just like you said.
and as someone else who has unsewn and re-sewn blocks, you're in good company!
Nice to know I'm in good company on the sewing/unsewing! Sometimes I feel like it's me and myself on that. I love your block!
