Star BOM Block #6

Here is Block #6. I must have sewn and ripped out the center pinwheel about four times before I got it acceptable. Just me--there are days like that. All together it wasn't a hard block at all. I started to change the fabrics but decided to leave it as per pattern instructions. I may remake later. The colors make me think of chocolate covered cherries.

  1. You are so right, chocolate covered cherries is a good name for that pretty block. I looked at the photo first before I read what you had written. I looked, wondering how long it took for you to make it. It is much more complex than the star blocks I've made (2 so far)and I'm so slow in sewing them - I almost feel like I'm moving in slow motion! I think I wouldn't want to make a whole quilt out of them. Maybe my speed will improve. I know I have one big mess on my tables, but I don't know how to get around that.

You are so good at what you do, but I know you have lots more experience than I do. I've about decided though that there is no perfect quilt. I had to "unsew" two seams tonight, and I really thought I laid the pieces together right, but guess what, I didn't (frown).

    Take care . . .

  6. Nice to know I'm in good company on the sewing/unsewing! Sometimes I feel like it's me and myself on that. I love your block!
