Thank all of you for your prayers for Jim. He passed on today. On Saturday I heard that he had developed some complications after surgery. His funeral is Wednesday. Dixie wants it to be a celebration of his life. Please pray for her and the family.
Our DGD Aimee came to visit for a couple of days. She is a lot of fun. She and I went and picked up a kitten that Dixie was giving away. She christened him Butterball and I liked the name so he is "Butterball". She liked him fine until he scratched her. : ( He is a very playful kitten and I think we are going to be good friends. He has been assigned to grow well and to like the taste of mice! Our feed sacks have holes in them.
We sewed a little. It was her idea to sew a type of mile a minute quilt for a child in the C.A.S.A. program. Like I said we really just got started. But I promised her I would continue to work on the quilt and when next she comes we will tie it and finish it. After all she spent a lot of time playing with Butterball.
This afternoon we went to our oldest DS's house to take him some home cooked food and visit some. Our youngest DS and family stopped by on their way back from Houston. So I got to see DGS Mason. He is such a sweetie. Oldest DS is looking at having back surgery later this month. He is in lots of pain and can't wait to feel better. I would appreciate your prayers.

Hi Marilyn, It's sad to hear that the pilot passed away. He just had too much wrong with him. I will remember your friend, Dixie, and their family in prayer. Thanks for letting us know.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you had fun with your little Aimee. Tell her to be careful with the kitten. My oldest daughter, Susan, still has a claw mark on her face where my sister's cat got her. It wasn't a scratch though. The nail went through the skin. Butterball is a cute name.
