Some Little Visitors and the Quilting Room
DGS Mason and DGD Paisley came to stay for a few days this week. We played with sidewalk chalk, dug in the dirt, rocked the baby, road tricycles, played with toys, etc. etc. They were very good and lots of fun. Aren't they growing?
I remembered to take my camera to quilting on Wednesday. I remembered to get it out of my purse. I remembered to take pictures. Thumbs up!
Below is Mickey's beautiful quilt. This is a Pam Bono pattern. We had borrowed her pattern and were in the process of making the blocks for a raffle quilt when the building burned. We lost six blocks in the fire. I had made one just like the sunflower one in this quilt.
Bonnie pieced this one from cute flannel prints that were donated to us. From left to right are Bonnie, Marie, and Mickey.
Kathleen is crocheting since there wasn't room at the quilt to quilt. We had several afghans donated that were not finished.
Sharon and Jan are almost ready to turn the quilt. This quilt belongs to Sharon. She had it ready to be quilted and when hers was lost in the fire we told her to bring it and we would quilt it. I hadn't realized until I took this picture that I should have tidied up the quilt top before taking the picture. LOL Some of the papers are the stencils that Sharon traced so we could determine the quilting lines a little better.
Here they are removing pins and unscrewing the c clamps to turn. Do you see that trunk behind Sharon? That was donated to us. Pretty neat, huh?
And here they are turning what has been quilted. The little disk you see is used to cushion the c clamp.
So there you have it. I will take my camera again-- when I can remember!

Busy
Time flys. Let's see what have I been up to? September 24 & 25 found me in Post Oak with a booth at their Quilt Show and Trash & Treasures sale. We got up and it was raining (as in pouring). We had gone the night before and set up the canopy it was dry. When we arrived Friday morning we found out that the canopy is not completely water proof! Uh-oh. The ladies came to my rescue! They have an old time pavilion where they always have their Trash & Treasures sale and they offered to move their things around to make room for me. And they did! I told you these ladies are super nice. So we set up with them and we had a very successful weekend. The rain let up around noon each day--yes, it rained Saturday as well. It was sloppy but it didn't keep the people away. And as it turned out our canopy was used for their diners. They serve a meal with your choice of a variety of sandwiches complete with onion slices, pickles, chips, and cookie or beans and cornbread. Secretly I think some people come for the food! It's all home cooking. And they published a new cookbook this year! Love it. Thanks for the best chicken salad recipe ever. I will be trying a lot more.
Of course the week before I went to Post Oak I spent cutting fat quarters, one yard cuts and organizing. I stayed up late cutting and cutting. DH took off on Friday and went with me. He is good help. He doesn't totally understand a lot of quilt things but he is encouraging and and offers his help. What is most important he values quilts and the process of quilt making!
The week after I reorganized then we had our little visitors come spend a few nights with us. DGD Paisley can sit alone now and she is so sweet. When I hold her she pats me on the shoulder. How sweet is that? DGS Mason is getting so tall. And his vocabulary is amazing. I took pictures. Want to see? I knew you would.
This past weekend we were in Wichita Falls at the Red River Quilters Guild Quilt Show "Quilting in the Falls".
We were one of ten vendors. We learned a lot. Saw some pretty quilts. I didn't take pictures; will you forgive me?
Yesterday I got two calls from two different quilt groups asking me to come do a demo. How about that?
The first one is next Thursday. Yikes! Gotta get one worked up. Saturday we have a little booth at a local fall festival to try that market. I made up postcards and mailed out today to let fellow quilters know I would be there. We'll see how it works. Saturday is also guild meeting and I will miss it. I am helping get the little program together and to some ladies on Thursday. Tomorrow is Kraz-z Quilters and we are still hand quilting on the Time Travel quilt. We've had fewer quilters the last several weeks so it's been taking longer. So we probably still have a couple more Wednesdays to go.
How about the wonderful weather? Fifties at night and eighties in the day--just wonderful. We have the house open day and night. We decided to give Roy (Roy-L-T) away. He went to a family that needed a second dog to work cattle. DH is doing better. I can tell a big difference. He isn't breathing heavy anymore and he isn't exhausted all the time. Really nice.
Blessings and happy quilting,

Back to the diet -- after the leftovers are gone!
Well, I had been doing really good with keeping the pounds I had lost off. But after eating all the Thanksgiving goodies I am a little afraid to step on the scales. I had lost 5 pounds. Woo hoo! It was feeling real good to have extra room in my jeans. And just as soon as the pumpkin pie is gone -- I am cutting the pieces smaller now to make it last longer -- I am going to cut down on portions again and eat a smaller evening meal. I promise.

On Friday DH, DS#1, DGS Mason and I went to our DD's house and had lunch with her family. It was good with her homemade pies for dessert. The weather was so nice so we all went outside. The grandkids blew bubbles and drew on the driveway with sidewalk chalk. Then they all had a need for speed! The older two got out their scooters (push type) and DGS Mason (two years old) borrowed DGD Aimee's dolly stroller and went up and down the driveway and sidewalk. Then it was time to go home so DH could check on his animals. We ate supper (for what reason I don't know--I was still full). I had cooked the turkey bones while we were gone so I made a quick soup by adding rice and opening a couple of cans of mixed vegetables and chopped turkey. There is just something about soup. Then DS#1 decided to go home and we all called it a night.

Then today I made waffles for breakfast. Could not entice DGS Mason to eat but a bite or two. He only eats when he wants to and if he doesn't want to he doesn't--period. He's not skinny but I do declare (I love saying that--it sounds so Southern.) I don't know what he eats to keep the meat on his bones. We had leftovers from our Thanksgiving dinner for lunch. Mason got a nap and then when he woke up we went out to play. I raked a big pile of leaves for him to jump in. He loved it. And of course the dogs got in on the action.
One ear up and one ear down. Sissy didn't quite know what to think about all the visitors. She is very good with DGS Mason.
The last quilty thing I have done? I put a binding on this quilt. And I had to straighten my sewing room because someone came over to pick up some notions. I had twenty minutes notice. You should've seen me flying around.

Working and having fun
We've finished painting the house. Yay! The well house is next. Prep work and then paint. But first came DGS Mason. We had him this past weekend. The weather was absolutely wonderful. So we spent all day Saturday outside working in the yard and running and playing. Digging in the dirt. Sliding down the slide. Trying to carry the almost ten pound cat around. Much to the dismay of the cat. Sorry my camera batteries were completely depleted. I was going to take a picture of him playing with the old Tonka toys that his daddy and uncle played with as little boys. He much preferred to dig in the dirt with one of my really large spoons and throw the dirt. And rub the dirt off his hands. Funny.

This picture is from one of his previous visits. He was trying to convince NaNaw that he could take a nap sitting on the sofa. NaNaw didn't fall for it.

Sissy went to sleep on DH's chair in this position!
She had two baths this weekend. The first was because she needed one and the second one was because she NEEDED one. She thinks she can do what the other dogs do. She rolled in fresh cow poo-poo. Yucky.

Busy Again
Hi, everyone. How's your world? Busy I'm sure. What's God been doing in your life? Plenty I'm sure. He is so good. DFIL is doing well. He has the green light to start his cardio rehab.
Let's see. What have I been up to? Thursday last week the insurance adjuster came to evaluate water damage between the wall of our two bathrooms from a leak we found. The toilet in our master bath is leaking from the fitting to the tank. We could not figure out where the water was coming from until I was cleaning and saw it dripping. How weird is that? DH had already taken out a small portion of drywall to see if it was a pipe in the wall. Friday morning I picked a bushel of blackeyed peas and took them to a neighbor who had been wanting some to buy and then did some cleaning. Saturday morning was Wise County Quilt Guild. DS#1 came and spent the weekend with us. We really enjoyed it. Love you, Brian. Then we had the three grandkids come for a couple of days. They went home yesterday. Whew. LOL Lots of fun, lots of energy, and thank God they need lots of sleep! LOL

Tuesday afternoon it was so hot and youngest DGS wants to go 'side (outside) all the time so we put up the wading pool and turned them loose with the garden hose. It took some convincing for the two older grandkids that it was okay to play in the water in regular clothes (they hadn't packed swimsuits). LOL They had so much fun. Spraying and splashing and of course Max got in on the action. He doesn't like water but he does love to bite and catch the splashes of water. He would get water down the wrong pipe (so to speak) and choke and take a time out and then he was back at it again. Hilarious! He was soaked and didn't seem to mind. DGD and I went to Kraz-z Quilters on Wednesday for a little while. She made yo-yo's and I quilted. She helped me make chicken salad sandwiches from the chicken that cooked overnight in the slowcooker and we were hostesses. She loves it. DH and the boys stayed home and did their thing.
And in the mix--DH looked up Tuesday morning and the calves were in the garden! A little damage to the tomatoes and okra but I'm not sure if the blackeyed peas will recover. It's getting late in the season for them anyway and we have enjoyed them immensely. And I had the top and backing for a little C.A.S.A. quilt ready so I sandwiched it while the DGKs were sleeping Monday night and then got up early Tuesday morning BEFORE they woke up and turned it and topstitched it. Then Tuesday we (read on) tied it (they tied a few and decided it was too much work) and turned it in Wednesday to the Kraz-z Quilters. AND we have a new kitten. Since we have a Butterball and this one is a darker yellow I named him Butterscotch. We were told that Butterscotch was two months. Nope don't think so. Probably more like five weeks old. I was concerned that Butterball would be too rough with him--he's probably three months old. They were so funny at first. They both hissed at each other something awful. Then the next thing you know they are playing and getting along just fine. AND we have thirteen (make that 15--I went down a minute ago to turn on the mister) new baby pigs this morning. AND Ruby has come in heat and we decided that she was too young to breed and will wait until next time; so she has been locked up. Poor baby.
AND I have lost 3 1/2 pounds! Yay. I have a goal to lose 16 pounds.
Today it's laundry, figuring the checkbook, paying bills, straightening the sewing/quilting room, etc. etc. Answering the phone! Don't you just love it. DH has been to Wal-Mart to buy new batteries for his pickup and on to do some tractor work.

Here's the first batch of pictures. On our visit to San Angelo July 23-24 after eating at a Mexican restaurant we walked to the nearby Visitor's Center. This is near the Old Fort Concho in the downtown area of San Angelo. If you ever get a chance to go -- Go check it out. DGD and DGS's other grandmother had bought them bubbles and we had fun with them Friday morning. I love these pictures! Click on them to enlarge.
More to come!

Hello
Checking in again! I'm been on the go. Let's see let me backtrack and tell you what I've been up to. Let's go backwards shall we? Yesterday I met with several ladies from Wise County Quilt Guild to sew on our donation quilt. We got a lot accomplished and one more Thursday and it will be complete. Yay! Wednesday was Kraz-z Quilters and we continued to work on Priscilla's king size Eureka (pattern by Jackie Robinson) that we are hand quilting. One more Wednesday and we will have it complete. Yay! Tuesday DH and I (he took a day of vacation) made a trip to see our DGD Aimee in a school program and later in the day watched her practice softball. Too cute on both accounts! It was fun!
Have you seen a cuter star fish?
Her team is called "Twisted Sisters" is that cute or what? I kept thinking that there ought to be a quilt block by that name. If there is let me you will you?
Did you notice what catalog they are looking at? A boar stud catalog. Yeah. Lots of hogs butts--maybe that accounts for the look on Mason's face. LOL

Monday I received a phone call at 9am. Kathleen on the other end--"What do you have planned today?" My response--"Two loads of laundry and not sure what else--what do YOU have in mind?" Kathleen said, "Want to go to Quilter's Workshop?" Me--"When?" Her--"As soon as you can get ready!" Me--"Okay, let me hop in the shower and feed the dog!" Laundry can wait and everything else can wait, right?! You betcha. After all they were having a sale 50 to 75% off on select fabrics. YOU BETCHA! I called Dixie and she dropped everything too and we had a blast. We ate at Olive Garden and got home around 5pm. What a nice way to spend a day!
Sunday, Saturday, and Friday night. DS called late Friday afternoon and asked if we could watch DGS Mason. Babysitter was sick and they had tickets to something. SURE! I was sewing on Star BOM sashing at the time. Okay, quickly shut down sewing machine. Put away rotary cutter, scissors, all sharp objects. Clear my "design bed" that also is used as "changing table" when DGS Mason comes. Clear dining table that also serves as "cutting table". Check pantry for "Mason food". Check refrigerator for milk. Put away breakables on coffee table and elsewhere. Cook supper. Get toys out and play yard. Had fun chasing him around. Bath time, nite-nite, wake up at 2:30am back to sleep with NaNaw etc. etc. He is talking. Not that I understand much of what he is saying. LOL There's the usual Mama, DaDa, See?--and maybe not so usual--Oh, Man! Then gibber blabber, blabber yidder, yadder, uhhh? Okay. Nanaw is clueless.

And that my friends is the week sort of in review. In the mix I was also making up another order and doing the usual stuff we all do -- cooking, laundry (yes, it eventually got done), sleeping, dishes, all that fun and useful stuff.

The DGKs
Yes, the darling grandchildren came for the weekend. All three! First time for all three to sleep over at our house. We had a blast. The weather was perfect for playing outside--leaves falling and the temps in the seventies. We went to the park after getting ice cream. But boy, oh boy, I was one tired grandma Sat. nite. I was in bed by 9:30. The kids all fell asleep between 8 and 8:30. Whew! Thank God the older two are eight and six years old. I don't know how I could handle it if they all were a lot younger!

Time flys doesn't it?
Where does the time go? Away for sure. Well, I didn't get the piecing done I wanted to last week. VBS I did get some pillowcase kits cut out and a sample sewn up. Then I cut out more fat quarters to put in my booth. Then I helped with the quilt show. Then I set up my booth. I did really well with it. I really enjoy meeting and visiting other quilters. There were some really pretty quilts. Sorry no pictures. Bad blogger. I was too busy. I will see if I can get Fran to email me some. Speaking of Fran--very talented lady even though she doesn't think she so. She does wonderful machine quilting on her sewing machine. She and her daughter like to make projects together. They did rabbit quilts. Each was done in 30's fabric with bunnies, carrots, radishes, etc. all over. Just adorable. Then Fran quilted them with her imagination. Fantastic! I gotta get you pictures. And the one that won viewer's choice was amazing! A fiftieth wedding anniversary quilt with hand embroidery and applique done by a very talented lady in our guild.
In this photo he is playing with my baby doll. This will not be his favorite when he grows up.
Then Saturday after the show we kept DGS Mason overnight so DS and DDIL could go out. He is walking now--no, make that running. From the time he wakes up in the morning until he goes to sleep at night with maybe a short nap in between--if you're in the car. I wish I had half--make that a fourth of his energy. I really want to get all three of the grandkids together so they can have fun together and get to know each other. The older two missed out on Mason crawling and when my DD told my DGD that Mason was walking she couldn't believe it. Oh, and by the way we have some very gifted grandchildren. DD told me DGS#1 is reading on a fourth grade level and in second grade and DGD is reading on a third grade level and is in first grade. They were both read to a lot from the time they were babies and on up. It truly makes a difference.
In this photo he is wearing rubber boots and walking with Papaw.
Well, I've got some things to get done. Ya'll be blessed.

Mason pics
I like to deliver when I promise something. Our dsl modem failed right after my last post and we were without internet. I live in a rural area so we had to wait for a new modem to arrive in the mail. I didn't know how addicted I was. DH thought it was funny. He would. So back to delivering what I promise. Isn't Mason adorable?
I had a booth at a local quilt show Friday and Saturday. I sold a LOT of stuff. Thanks to all the ladies for making my time so profitable; not only monetarily but I am richer for meeting and visiting with other quilters. It is so much fun. Now we gotta unload the vehicles. Heehee! But there's less to unload. YAAAY!

Another "Mason" weekend

Yes, it was another "Mason" weekend. We enjoyed him so much. I keep saying that he is a sweet baby--but he really is--and I have babysat lots of babies over the years. I got to rock him to sleep! He is crawling very fast these days. He was much better about the cabinets. He knows what the word "No" means. And you know what I am tired!
But he wasn't the only reason I'm tired. Thursday I pulled grass from the rocks in our rock patio. I refuse to use weed killers. We lost a darling Brittany Spaniel years ago to cancer and I read that weed killers are believed to contribute to cancer in animals. I could sure tell the next day that my muscles in my "rear end" had been used to squat and bend. I couldn't stand for our boys to see our patio all "grown up" since they always did such a good job keeping the yard when they lived at home with us.
This weekend we celebrated my youngest son's 25th birthday. I am amazed at him. He is so mature. He was recently promoted to assistant project manager at his engineering firm and he told his dad that he may be made project manager soon. So for his birthday celebration DH grilled steaks; I made a jello salad, homemade rolls, fried squash and a red velvet birthday cake from scratch. "Patting myself on the back". This is the second time this season that I have fried squash. We usually eat them steamed.
Friday, I went to Wal-Mart early. I needed print cartridges for the printer and of course lots of other "stuff". I found this neat stripe fabric to back one of the 4PSP baby quilts I made. I just love the way it turned out.
This quilt or the other one I made will go to Houston to a brand new little girl named Brooklyn.
DIL thinks the mommy might like the one with the polka dots better. This one is my favorite. But it's because I LOVE the shade of pink in the sashing. Click on the photo and look at the itty bitty 4 patches that make the corner stones. Aren't they so fun?
I wanted to post some more pics from the quilt retreat at The Quilt House. Patsy, I learned how to do the linky thing from Split Decisionz. Yippee! The bed to the right is where I slept.
Kathleen posing with her Boondoggle quilt she completely sewed at the retreat. Great job! Jan's 4PSP she cut and sewed a big part of it at retreat. Another great job. Click on the photo to see the beautiful fabric. Dixie's quilt (sorry, I forgot the name of the pattern) on the design wall. Before we left she had put all the blocks together and some of the borders. This last Wednesday Jan and Dixie brought their completed quilt tops. I will have photos next post. We had a very productive retreat.

Hello World!
Last week and the three days of retreat went by like a blur! What fun I have had! God is so good! My DH is so good to me.

First off -- I didn't get a lot of pictures of Aimee. We were too busy having fun! Here she is doing a craft for NaNaw.
She made me a 3D paper sculpture of my Max. He is sitting down and do you see his tail in the second picture. She is going to be six next month. I am amazed at her imagination.
And she helped me sort my scraps. She is also very good at sorting.
Her mommy is a dream at organizing. I believe she inherited those traits.

My DH brought these stacked plastic bins from work. He found them in a storage area and they were going to throw them away. And now any thing smaller than a fat quarter lives here except for squares that are already cut down and the strings already sorted for projects. I even got all my bigger pieces folded and stacked. Yippeee!

I also made her a purse from this pattern while she sewed yo-yo's using the Clover yo-yo maker. And you DGMs out there know--it's "NaNaw, my thread is tangled!" or "Nanaw, I don't know what I did, but can you help me?" So the purse took much longer than I wanted it to. But it turned out cute. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture. Bad blogger, I know. I got caught up in the moment. Did I say moment? It was hours. It really is a simple pattern but the whole fitting the side/bottom piece to the front and back thingy took ME a while. And I do plan on making her an outfit to go along with the purse. I got her measurements.
We went swimming at the public pool. There were NO pictures. I (ahem) have gained weight since the last time I wore my swimsuit. So I wore shorts so folks couldn't see where I oosed out of my suit. We had a lot of fun.
Okay, now for the retreat! Oh, my gosh, we had so much fun! We can't wait to do it again. We stayed at The Quilt House in Azle, Texas. It was just what our small group of four needed. She can handle eight but it gave us good room and honestly eight would be a little crowded. It is very affordable! We would like to go back someday soon. But we also want to try out some others. She didn't have an area with a sofa and that would have been nice to relax. But we were very busy sewing, talking, and of course, EATING. Oh, my gosh, I am still so full.

The first picture is myself on the left and my fellow quilter, Jan, enjoying the swing. I finished the Time Travel quilt. Woohoo! And the purple 4 Patch Stacked Posies is on the design wall. I had never used a design wall. Oh, my gosh! Wonderful! There were three design walls. I got all the blocks sewn together for the purple 4PSP and then barely got started with the sashing before it was time to go. On Tuesday we shopped at a local quilt shop. AND Nancy, the owner of The Quilt House, runs an online quilt store from the converted garage in The Quilt House and she is a vendor (Quiltin' Gals) at a lot of the big quilt shows SO we got to shop her store anytime day or night we wanted. She specializes in 30's reproduction prints. She has more fabric than a lot of quilt shops, folks. There is very little walking room in her store.
This is a very long post and I will post some more pictures in another post. Bye for now.
Blessings,
First off -- I didn't get a lot of pictures of Aimee.
It's an "Aimee" week
Yes, we have been invaded by our DGD Aimee. She arrived Saturday and I will take her home on Friday. So far we have made crafts (her favorite), shopped, made a trip to the library for books and videos, pulled more grass out of the garden and she fed it to the pigs, and today we are baking and hopefully we can get some sewing done and go swimming at the pool and I need to clean house?! Wheww! And before we know it the week will be over. She helps her PaPaw feed the animals every evening and she really enjoys that. We have a new litter of baby pigs born July 3. Then it's get ready for bed and read a story and off to dreamland. And then we do it all over again. The dishwasher is running; soon the washing machine will be humming and Aimee is still sleeping. She didn't get to bed until nearly ten. We are hostesses tomorrow for quilting so we are going to bake sugar cookies to go along with the fruit salad we are making and pimento cheese sandwiches. I like to bake my own bread, too. Want to join us?
And I have an abundance of zucchini! So I found some yummy chocolate zucchini bread recipes online to try and I am going to make zucchini jam today. Last year I made it and it was wonderful. It will be good to teach her about making different things. AND we just gotta find time to SEW! Okay, in reality--we're not going to get all that done today. But we are going to have fun doing what we can get done!
Sorry, no pictures today but I will take some and post next time of our adventures.

It was a "Mason" weekend!
We had DGS Mason this weekend so his mommy and daddy could do the activities they each had to do. He is on the move now. So there was picking up somethings out of his reach. And we played ball. They have been playing with him at home. We were so amazed at him. I have lots of cabinets doors he wanted to check out. I use big rubber bands on those that have knobs that meet each other. It always worked for DGD Aimee. He's a boy! He figured it out. His dad is an engineer and his grandfather is a diesel mechanic; do you think I have my work cut out for me?!
Yep, he just pulled the doors open wide enough for him to get his hand in and commenced to extract. Like I said DGD is no dummie for sure and this tactic worked real good for her but he is another story. This will be a plus when he is older and I "need" him to help figure out a problem.
We had "surprise" visitors this weekend. On Saturday morning we found two young raccoons in our hedge by the patio. And later DH looked up in the tree beside these hedges and saw another one. They're gone now. I don't know WHERE they have gone. DH sure didn't want them in his barn where he stores his feed. Max found a mole and killed it. It was on the patio Saturday morning, too. Good boy! I just wish he would scare that amardillo away that is digging holes all in the yard at night.
I demonstrated the 4 Patch Stacked Posies pattern at my Wednesday group last week. It was fun showing them my addiction. You think it's contagious. I sure hope so. Hee, hee. I wasn't feeling the best in the world. I went to the doctor this morning--urinary tract infection. I used to get them all the time in my twenties. I could've lived without this one. I am drinking water, cranberry juice, taking my meds, and posting. I will live. I will live. I will live. Keep saying it long enough and I will convince myself.
Thanks goes out to Patsy again. She is responsible for the signature. If it wasn't for you, Patsy, I wouldn't know how to do anything. Now can you could tell me how to do the linky thing so that when people click on your name it would take them to your blog? Sure would appreciate it. Hugs.

Helllloooo Summer!
Oh, joy! Temps in the mid 90's and high humidity and feels like +100. We had Paradise Piecemakers Saturday and when Clara Ruth came in she said, "Everybody repeat after me! One, two, three, I HATE SUMMER. I have put deodorant on twice and it hasn't done any good." We do have wind at our house, Thank God! The only saving in this humidity. But my personal summers don't help either. LOL But they aren't as bad as what they were a year ago.We live on a little higher elevation than ground around us and it seems the wind most always blows except in late July and August (the dog days). My prayers go out to those who have lost their homes and loved ones in the tornadoes and storms.
We had a nice time at Paradise Saturday. There were quite a few there in spite of the holiday weekend. I worked on the "Time Travel" quilt. Everybody thinks I'm crazy for working with such little pieces. Maybe I am! It is time-consuming. The quilt "grows much slower".I pieced two saw-toothed borders and got one sewn on the length of one side. These half-squares are left over from the flying geese in the "Soaring Past Time" blocks and are 1 1/2" and finish at 1". I hadn't done a saw-tooth border before. I had to dig out some books and find how they meet at the corners. Hmmm. Seems as though if I want mine to meet like what I have in mind I have sewn the width wise border in the wrong direction. Story of my life! Hello seam ripper. Maybe I have enough half-squares leftover to piece another without ripping out what I have already done. Hope so. Anyway here's a picture.

I went to Wal-Mart last week to pick up DH's prescription and some things and found this
fabric (gotta look-right?) and I want to make another 4 Patch Stacked Posies quilt and I saw this setting at http://edutach.blogspot.com/2008/04/flower-box-quilt.html#links and want to do one like it. What can I say I am addicted to these; is there any help for those of us who are addicted? Is there something like AA or NA? Maybe SnWA? or 4PSPA? I also bought fabric for the sashing and borders for Rose 4 Patch Stacked Posies at our Duckwalls or Alco for some of you so I will be getting that together shortly.

Oldest DS came Sunday and we grilled steaks and we watched a movie I had gotten from Netflix.
Then, on Monday I helped DH move some of his pig pens around. He moved the baby pigs out of the barn. We moved panels around so the calves could get to some grass near the garden. My garden is doing good! I did have to replace some of the tomatoes. I gotta hoe it out this week. We got 2/10 of an inch of rain Sunday morning early. Amazing what a little rain can do for things. Thank you, God, for the rain.
And here is a pic of DGS and DGD after one of their games.

We are almost done hand quilting my pink 4 Patch Stacked Posies at Kraz-z Quilters. Tomorrow will finish it up and then I can bind it and post a picture. I gotta cook something for tomorrow -- got any ideas?
I have a lot to do around here in the next few weeks and months--the garden, machine quilting, my "catering" business, Kid's Camp with the quilt guild in June, keeping youngest DGS a week in July, blah, blah, blah so you may not hear from me much in the upcoming months. Just know that I miss blogland and you.
